Barking Up The Right Trees was created through my love of animals, exercise, and nature. During the most challenging times in my life, I have relied on the environment, movement, and my four-legged best friends the most. Pets have this incredible way of making us want to be better people. I am in awe of the motivation pets give us daily to get moving. We all share the responsibility to protect our environment, love our pets as much as they love us, and educate our children on the positive impacts of a healthy lifestyle. As an athlete, I have participated in more than 200 races. As an event planner and race director, I began this journey over twenty years ago.

I have never met a dog that does not like a chance to be outside & walk. My best advice is to pick a time that works well for you and your pet so it can become part of your everyday routine. Please be cautious of excessive heat and dangerous terrain, and follow all safety precautions. Make sure you and your pet stay well-hydrated and have the appropriate shoes and comfortable clothing. A comfortable leash & collar makes a big difference to your pet too. Getting on the right path to health takes one step at a time!
